THE upcoming preview weekend for Alton Towers' new ride TH13TEEN has been cancled due to "technical problems" with the ride. This news is sure to leave guests who were due to visit gutted and annoyed at this fact. This has been confirmed by an e-mail from the park.

Thank you for booking our exclusive TH13TEEN preview weekend. However, I regret to inform you that TH13TEEN, which as you know is fantastically sophisticated, is living up to its name and proving a bit of a beast during its essential pre-opening testing phase! As you know, the whole point of testing is to make sure we’ve identified any potential issues and rectified them, but TH13TEEN is being particularly challenging at the moment as a result of all the cutting edge technology that the ride employs. Therefore, it is not possible to offer you a ride on the attraction on March 13th as intended, and since we believe you need to experience XXXXXX,the attraction before the secrets are revealed we have taken the decision to cancel the event. I know how disappointing this will be for you, our most dedicated and passionate fans, so we would like to offer you the following: - A full refund onto the card you booked with. - A free Fastrack ticket for TH13TEEN on a day of your choice in the 2010 season. - An exclusive invitation to a complimentary evening in 2010 with John Wardley. The evening will include a Behind the Scenes Tour of TH13TEEN, a presentation, a buffet meal and exclusive merchandise. We will contact you within the next 5-7 days to further discuss the above.
