Today Madame Tussauds Blackpool opens. Madame Tussauds is part of a £10 million revamp of the Blackpool Tower. It is located on the Promenade near Central Pier. And features new models that have never been seen before along with all the others. And will be the UK's first Madame Tussauds outside of London and the 12th branch of the attraction. The zones for the attraction are -

• Sports Stars – Including David Beckham, Lewis Hamilton, Steven Gerrard and Tiger Woods.
• TV Stars – Including Gok Wan, Jamie Oliver, Davina McCall, Joanna Lumley, Jonathan Ross, Simon Cowell, David Jason and Ant and Dec.
• Blackpool Originals – Including Barbara Windsor, Benny Hill and Ken Dodd.
• Pop Stars – Including Cheryl Cole, Michael Jackson, Britney Spears and Peter Andre.
• Comedians – Including Alan Carr and Graham Norton.

This is not the full line up of waxworks and many more are coming soon. The latest addition to Madame Tussauds Blackpool was Susan Boyle, who unveiled her Wax Model on Tuesday, 19th April. As part of the £10 million revamp of the Tower there is also other attractions included within the revamp. These are the Eye, Circus, Ballroom, Jungle Jims, Dungeons and SEA LIFE. All of the attractions apart from SEA LIFE (Already open) are due to open in September of this year. So the latest addition to the Blackpool Tower will boost its appeal and will provide new figures never seen before.
