Pleasure Island set to Re-open!
Following the unexpected closure of Pleasure Island on the 14th, it has been announced - after much speculation - that the park will re-open on the 1st May!
It is thought that the park's closure was only temporary whilst negotiations took place of a take over. The plans were stalled, however, due to issues affecting the take-over, resulting in the park unexpectedly closing until the take over was finalised.
Alton Towers has offered a £50 of an Alton Towers Annual Pass to anyone who owned a Pleasure Island Season Ticket - similar to the closure of Camelot and American Adventure. It is unknown whether the offer still stands now the park is set to re-open.
Of course, this is great news for the theme park industry. Hopefully, other parks will remain financially stable throughout the current economic climate and continue to thrive from 'stay-at-home' tourists.
