Thorpe Park, the Surrey based theme park that claim to be the nation's Thrill Capital, have started charging for Car Parking. As far as Ride Guide is aware, the charge stands currently at £2, and is free for AP holders.  It is rumoured, however, that the charge will raise to £5 next season.  As well as this, internal rumours have stated that the charge was forced upon by Runnymede Council, though this seems unlikely due to the land being private.  Pick up and drop off are still free of course. Many question if this is a good move by the park, especially as a fair few of the spaces are a plot of gravel between 2 logs!  Hopefully the extra revenue produced will help see improvements to the Car Park in some form; of course, time will tell...
