About this deal

However, it’s actually mostly plastic, but it has metal plates in the base to add weight and some of the sprinkler head is metal too. However, as someone wiser than myself once said- the devil is in the details, and this product has some cracking little features that set it apart from most on the market.

No problems to report with this model, not as durable as our previous two recommendations but it’s much more affordable. The orbit travelling sprinkler is powered from your water pressure, and as the two metal sprayers spin, helicopter style, on top, the mini tractor is propelled forward. For example, there are multiple types of oscillating sprinkler on the market, but some come with plastic fittings and others come with metal ones. For example, while you can adjust the coverage of the 20 jets, you can’t switch them off individually like you can with the Karcher. One thing I can say for this sprinkler, is that it worked as designed each and every single time without any issues, and that was with and without a water timer attached.

It’s a two-in-one waterer you can shoot at your flower beds or turn 90 degrees and let it sit on your lawn to sprinkle the grass around it. Its also metal, so again, just like the previous model I mentioned by Gardenia won’t flip itself over. This setup, however, needs good water pressure to use multiple sprinklers at the same time to work effectively.uk, a professional landscape designer, hobbyist gardener, and barbecue fanatic with 20 years experience building and restoring. To give you an idea, my water pressure at home isn’t always great, and I get around 150²m coverage, which covers my entire lawn but nowhere near the 200-300²m I was able to cover at my parent’s house where they have large lawns but also better pressure. Allowing you to do other things whilst your garden is being nourished, a garden sprinkler is a warm-weather must-have. Hozelock claims that it’s designed to give 100% even water coverage regardless of water pressure, and we found that even with a slightly kink-prone hosepipe and turning down the tap, you still got steady streams of water erupting from its 20 nozzles, though the Kärcher and Gardena sprinklers had it beaten on range with everything maxed out.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t spin that well with the tap turned right down, and wouldn’t be the best choice for smaller gardens. Costwise PRO Oscillating Metal Sprinkler – Tested over 3 years – This is probably the best for small to medium-sized gardens. This ensures it’s very stable on the ground and won’t flip easily, unlike those plastic models that are so light that even a slight twist of a hose is enough to topple them over. As mentioned, there’s no settings too speak of so it’s just ‘plug and play’ and I think some people will appreciate that. For me the Hozelock made more sense but if you need a tailored solution I have no hesitation recommending this unit.

On the model above and below, you can just spray between 25 and 360 degrees which is great if you want to position against a fence or need to water a small section of lawn.
