About this deal

On the same day, HMV released a special 12" box set with CD, badge, booklet and photos in a limited edition of 10,000 units as catalog number BEA CD 25/8.

This is in a really nice condition, free from holes and has never been displayed, with just a couple of tiny corner creases. When I started to look into it some more I discovered that what I had in my collection was actually a fake. It was released on 8 May 1970, almost a month after the group’s public break-up, in tandem with the documentary of the same name. The British pressing is a real collector's item for every record collector who collects all the rock records from the 60s to 90s!The ‘Let It Be’ album has been newly mixed by producer Giles Martin and engineer Sam Okell in stereo. Irrespective of the source, all of our collectables meet our strict grading and are 100% guaranteed. From then, the project lay in limbo as they moved onto the recording of Abbey Road, released that September. We are available to book for live shows and events, as well as bespoke licensed music for videos, commercials, TV, film and more.

All the new ‘Let It Be’ releases feature the new stereo mix of the album as guided by the original “reproduced for disc” version by Phil Spector and sourced directly from the original session and rooftop performance eight-track tapes. Actually conceived as a project before the recording of their penultimate album Abbey Road, various inter band squabbles and the temporary departure of George Harrison meant that it wasn't finished by 1970 at which point Phil Spector had been drafted in to slather strings all over it. Hi karin_templin, you could check the releases The Beatles - Let It Be, The Beatles - Let It Be, The Beatles - Let It Be, The Beatles - Let It Be , The Beatles - Let It Be, The Beatles - Let It Be.

However, the critical response was generally unfavourable, and Let It Be came to be regarded as one of the most controversial rock albums in history. This album has been prepared using the 2009 digital remasters which had been created from the original stereo analogue master tapes.

The album was delayed further and in fact became their 12th and final official album release on 8th May 1970 following additional production by American producer Phil Spector. The Beatles iconic final studio album being released to coincide with the worldwide release of Peter Jackson’s 3 part documentary ‘The Beatles: Get Back’.Not particularly valued on release, it has gained traction over the years most likely when listeners realised the sort of music the four members would make solo. The filmed rehearsals were marked by ill feeling, leading to George Harrison’s temporary departure from the group. FYI, here is a handy list of the markings from each of the Capitol pressing plants: It was Sam Feldman who also scribbled the words “Phil + Ronnie” on the dead wax.

Fakes don’t have that Bell Sound stamp, but the people who made the illegal copies did try to imitate the originals by including the “sf” initials too.My own copies (I have two – another variant lists the Fab Four as arrangers of "Maggie Mae" on the label) are all Scranton. It was released on 8 May 1970, almost a month after the group’s break-up, in tandem with the motion picture of the same name. He omitted Don’t Let Me Down (the B-side of the Get Back single) and instead included a 1968 take of Across the Universe.
