About this deal

Like, what’s to stop me from reading a better Harlan Coben novel over reading this book in particular? about a perfect husband who disappears when a photo from the past shows up in the latest batch from the photomat. The majority of pages are undamaged with some creasing or tearing, and pencil underlining of text, but this is minimal. Unlike other Harlan Coben novels where the protagonist was male, this book tried to spice things up by having a female protagonist instead. This is my second book to read of his and they have both been heart-pounding and can't-stop-reading!

Because there are others interested in both her husband’s past and that photo, including Eric Wu: a fierce, silent killer who will not be stopped from finding his quarry, no matter who or what stands in his way.Meanwhile Scott Duncan, is on leave from the US attorney's office and investigating the murder of his sister Geri in a house fire, which until recently everyone had thought to be accidental. As the town turns against him, Tom must rely on his own instincts and strength to track down the killer. His writing moves the plot along in a timely manner, and he creates well-developed characters, but this book was a reach for me. Answers must be found quickly, for handsome Jack has been captured by a cold-blooded, sadistic, Korean killer and lies senseless in the boot of the stolen family minivan.

She finds an odd one in the pack: a mysterious picture from perhaps twenty years ago, showing four strangers she can’t identify. And I think all of this combined makes grace a far more memorable character than any of the previous protagonist written by Harlan Coben. Lee Coben's latest novel is a riveting story of love and violence set against the backdrop of a small town in upstate New York.this had potential despite discrepancies and many unrealistic details but the end was such a major fail that I have to think seriously about wanting to read Coben ever again. She leaves behind no memories worth keeping: her husband is dead, her boss has made no bones about disliking her, and she’s looking forward to new responsibilities and the higher salary underwritten by North Dakota’s sudden oil boom. Unfortunately, this book doesn’t do anything to break those clichés, and it just ends up just feeling more or less like the same thing as the rest of the Harlan Coben novel pile. The movie was the top box office foreign-language film of the year in USA, won the Lumiere (French Golden Globe) for best picture and was nominated for nine Cesars (French Oscar) and won four, including best actor, best director and best music. Grace trying to grab her gone well to like I kept saying, I think that this scene in particular was just done really really well.

I mean the subplots themselves weren’t boring or poorly done, I just feel that were not essential or make you really appreciate the book in a meaningful way. And the book also does a good job of adding a spice of tragedy to the characters so that way her character has more emotional weight behind her every action.I considered skipping until the end and giving it one star, but stuck it out as the book is pretty short, only about seven hours. Trying to more or less save their own skin and cover up any financial losses, the group of friends decides to not disclose that they were the cause of the shooting and pin the blame on someone else that fired shots that day.

The mounting evidence of ever more and ever worse skulduggery will pull Tempe deeper and deeper down what even she sees as a rabbit hole before she confronts a ringleader implicated in “Drugs. Harlan was also showrunner and executive producer for two French TV mini-series, UNE CHANCE DE TROP (NO SECOND CHANCE) with Alexandra Lamy and JUST UN REGARD (JUST ONE LOOK) with Virginie Ledoyen. Being a mother, Grace thought, was a lot like being an artist- you are always insecure, you always feel like a phony, you know that everybody else is better at it than you.Trust me, you do not want to get caught by this guy…Because I’m pretty sure if he catches you, he’ll rip you to pieces and then rip out your spinal cord. The plot has a lot more depth to it than you would first appreciate, and offers a lot more than the normal blurb would suggest. However, I thought that Jack and Grace could’ve had a more developed relationship that we as the audience could’ve witnessed, The pacing towards the first half of the novel was pretty bad because there was a lot of characters such as the cops and Mrs Swann added next to nothing to the story and could’ve been cut entirely, and that this book more or less is really derivative and doesn’t do anything that’s that different than any of the other Harlan Coben novels.
